Small Wild Things Journal Scraps is a set of 22 paper scraps for nature journaling, digital scrapbooking and collage. They are torn offcuts of old paper: ruled notepaper, ledger and graph sheets, and thick handmade paper with a rough deckle edge, in cream, parchment, sage and grey-green.
Most of the scraps are held down with a strip or two of paper tape, and a few are already layered two or three deep, so you can drop one onto a page and it looks stuck in place.
What’s in these paper scraps
- 22 torn paper scraps as separate PNG files
- Lined and ledger sheets, some with faint handwriting, plus graph paper and plain handmade sheets
- Single scraps, taped scraps and small layered stacks, all in the same aged cream and sage palette
- 21 are cut out on a transparent background, so the torn edges and paper fibres show on your page; one is a full lined rectangle with a strip of tape down the side
File format and size
- 22 high-resolution PNG files at 300 DPI
- Each scrap is between 1,320 and 1,800 px on its longest side, which prints at about 4.4 to 6 in at full resolution
- One ZIP file, delivered as an instant digital download
Works with
Use them in Procreate, Photoshop, Canva, GoodNotes, Affinity, or any app that opens PNG files. You can also print them at home and cut around the edges for a paper journal.
What you can make with them
Tuck a scrap under a photo or a tag, run one along the edge of a spread, or use a lined piece as a place to write. They work on digital scrapbook pages, nature journal and collage layouts, planner pages and handmade cards.
Helene designed them to match the rest of the Small Wild Things collection, so they sit naturally beside the Small Wild Things journal cards, papers and mushroom and beetle elements.
Licence
For personal and small-business use. You can sell finished products made with the scraps, like printed journals, cards and layouts, but you can’t share, resell or redistribute the files themselves.
Instant download
Your files are ready the moment you check out. You get a PDF with your download link, which is on the order confirmation and in your account, so you can come back for it later.
Frequently asked questions
Are the torn edges cut out?
Yes, on 21 of the 22. The fibres and tape ends are cut out on transparency, so the ragged edge sits on your page without a white outline.
How big are they?
Between 1,320 and 1,800 px on the longest side at 300 DPI, or about 4.4 to 6 in when printed at full size. You can scale them down to fit any page.
Can I change the colours?
Yes. They are mostly cream and soft green, so a hue or colour overlay adjustment shifts them to match your palette.
Can I write on them?
Yes. Type over the lined scraps in Procreate, Photoshop, Canva or GoodNotes, or print them and write by hand.
